July 1st: Canada Day Celebration in Picton
Happy Birthday Canada! We are very proud to be Canadian and part of Canada's newest, up and coming wine region. We will be celebrating Canada's birthday on July 1st by attending two events with our delicious Canadian farmed wines. We will be participating in The County's very own Picton Canada Day celebration. The block party festivities will be held on Main Street Picton from 12 pm - after dark. All are welcome to attend this event for free entertainment, sidewalk sales & specials, a dog parade, artisanal markets and an outside play-zone for the kids. For the adults, there will also be a wine, beer and cider garden. We will be pouring and selling our VQA Prince Edward County wines throughout the duration of the party. Look for us near Chef Michael Hoy from 106 Bridge. Come out and wear your white and red in honour of our fabulous and free country. Continue reading for further details and hope to see you there.
July 1st: Canada Day Market: Danforth Mosaic of Music Concert Series
The second fantastic event we will be at is the Canada Day Market: Danforth BIA Mosaic of Music Concert Series. Canada Day is the perfect day to kick off this month long event celebrating Jazz and world music. Live performances will be happening every Wednesday throughout July at Danforth's East Lynn Park. Last year only beer was served, but this year The Grange is the exclusive wine partner for Canada Day. We will be selling glasses of our VQA Prince Edward County wine since it only makes sense to drink local wine to celebrate Canada's birthday. Not a wine drinker? We will be located right next to Beau's. There will also be food tents, children's activities, outdoor markets and live performances by The Spoons! Yes, really. It's going to be a great local party celebrating all the things we love about our country. See below or visit The Danny for more information on the rest July's music acts.
It's back! The second annual Taste of Toronto is being held July 2nd-5th and will once again be held at Fort York. For four days Fort York is transformed into a culinary wonderland with eating, drinking and entertainment. The city's hottest restaurants will be there along with over 70 exhibitors and celebrity chefs. Wineries, breweries and beverage purveyors will be there to pour you the perfect sample to complete your dining experience. The event is comprised of 6 half-day sessions, each about 4-5 hours, where guests can visit the music stage, browse the vendor booths and try some gourmet food. Tickets for all sessions are on sale now, so visit Taste of Toronto to get yours and for further details.
July 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st: Hillier Night Market

We're very pleased to have partnered up with the Prince Edward County Farmers' Markets to host the Hillier Night Market on Friday evenings. It is sure to be a fantastic party every Friday throughout July and August from 4pm - 8pm. Some of the great local vendors you can expect to see each Friday are Primal Foods, Melody's Garden, Joan Turner and Thyme Again. We'll also be sampling and selling our beautiful estate-grown wines at the market. This summer long event is family-friendly with live music, a campfire and maybe even s'mores! No need to call ahead, just bring the family and come party with us to kick start every weekend in PEC. Continue reading for more details, our list of vendors and our Night Market poster.
July 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th: Day in the Life Tour
We love working on a vineyard and want to share as much as we can with visitors. We are organizing four special tours that allow guests to experience the day in the life of a vineyard owner and winemaker. For $75, participants will spend a day with us and see what life on a vineyard is like! Wine enthusiasts will start their day with a hearty, country breakfast to fuel them for the work ahead. You will then try your hand at vineyard or winemaking work. There is always lots to be done so winemakers Caroline and Maggie will be there to guide you and explain the importance of each task. After some hard work, a lunch will be provided at the winery. Wine lovers will get to enjoy the fruits of their labour by joining us for a tour of our vineyards, processing room and cellar, while tasting our wonderful estate grown wines. There is lots to see and taking a hands-on approach is the best way to learn more about the winemaking process. By the end of the day guests will have a whole new appreciation for what's in the bottle. To book your spot for the Day in the Life Tour and Tasting package, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 613.399.1048.
